Pictures - Tulum (Mayan Ruins)
Tulum is an ancient Maya city in Quintana Roo on the east coast of Mexico. The city is located on a 40-foot cliff on the Caribbean Sea in the Riviera Maya and is a popular destination for tourists. The Tulum Pueblo village, which accounts for some 10 000 inhabitants, is one of the fastest growing places of Mexico. Other ruins nearby are those of Xelha.
The original name of Tulum was probably Zama. This means something like Morning City or City of Sunrise. Tulum means wall.
These pictures of Tulum show the ruins and beach.
