Caye Caulker is an island located off the coast of Belize. The island is one of the most important tourist destinations of Belize. This is mainly because the island is surrounded by the beautiful coral reefs of the Barrier Reef of Belize. This second-largest reef in the world is about 260 km long and were made world famous when the nature documentary maker Jacques-Yves Cousteau who told the world it is one of the most best places to dive on this earth. There are not many buildings on this small island. Most houses are grouped along one of the three main streets. The island is accessible from the mainland by water taxi which departs from Belize City.
